What is CHAARG?
♥ CHAARG stands for "Changing Health Attitudes & Actions to Recreate Girls." CHAARG's mission is to "ignite a passion for movement in college women. Too many college women rely soley on the elliptical for exercise. Our mission is to 'liberate girls from the elliptical' + show them that fitness can [+should] be fun.. + that working out is better with friends! Once you join CHAARG, you are welcomed into a supportive + empowering community of 10,000 + women! Every week, you'll try a different fitness class- like: pilates, kickboxing, cardio dance, + more! When you workout, you'll feel good- but, when you surround yourself with people to support your, you'll feel better. CHAARG combines greats friends + fun workouts to help every member feel their best."
♥ Alina was the Social Media Coordinator for CHAARG (Changing Health Attitudes + Actions to Recreate Girls) from 2019-2020.
♥ Alina was the first person to run the official University of Iowa CHAARG account + pass it on to the next coordinator.
Examples of University of Iowa CHAARG content-Brand shifted to a more inclusive and established the CHAARG rainbow theme as a rebranding campaign. Alina matched that campaign's mission by alternating member highlights and motivational quotes to get their members through the week.
What else do you need to know?
♥ Alina was the community manager of the Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages. Her job was to inform the community about events and weekly workouts, highlight members and spotlight small groups, and facilitate a healthy and supportive space as Iowa CHAARG's first point of contact.
♥ Alina was a member of CHAARG from 2016-2020. Making her way from a general member to a small group coordinator to the executive board as the Social Media Coordinator.
What is SAPP?
♥ Student Advocates for Planned Parenthood is the student group on campus that supports, works alongside with, and amplifies the voice and mission of Planned Parenthood at a collegiate level.
♥ SAPP planned and facilitated events and presentations for college students and the Iowa City community such as My Body is My OWn, Condom Crawls, Consent Education, Sex Education Bingo, Green + Red Flags in Relationships, Canvassing for Local Elections, and much more!
What else do you need to know?
♥ Alina was the community manager for the University of Iowa SAPP's Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter pages. Her job was to inform the community about seminars, presentations, weekly meetings, and any and all information pertinent to Planned Parenthood's mission as whole.
♥ Alina was a general member from 2018-2019 and on the executive board as the Social Media Coordinator for 2019-2020
What is NWM20's Book Club
♥ Not Wasting My Twenties Book Club started from the Not Wasting My Twenties Tik Tok + Facebook page to encourage folks from all over the nation and world to fall in love with reading again. It is a subgroup of the NWM20's general page started by a fellow Generation Z to document their life during the pandemic.
♥ NWM20's Book CLub meets weekly to discuss books from all genres with members from all over the world. We do our best to match our themes to important months such as Women's History Month, Spanish Hertiage Month, and Black History Month.
What else do you need to know?
♥ Alina has been a general member for the NWM20's book club since March 2021 and a moderator since September 2021.
♥ Alina has been tasked with the promotion of monthly reads, book descriptions, interactions with the community on Facebook and Instagram pages, and sharing her love of books with the NWM20's community!
♥ Alina maintains her own personal bookstagram where she posts her favorite quotes, engages with other bookstagrammers, and givers her opinions/rating on her current reads! ♥ Instagram handle is: @alina.gets.lit
